TCL 2600-8 Hub Series [Tcl, Inc.]

The TCL 2600-8 products are active Ethernet Hubs (concentrators) for startopology 10 MB-per-second unshielded twisted pair networks. These Hubsprovide eight modular RJ-45 twisted pair links and either an AUI(Attachment Unit Interface) or a Thinnet 10Base2 BNC port. These unitsmay serve as either standalone or departmental concentrators. The 2600-8series Hubs are compatible with the IEEE 802.3 10Base-T standard.All models of the 2600-8 series feature Auto Partitioning, CollisionPropagation, Packet Regeneration, Jabber Protection, and Illegal PacketSuppression. The maximum allowable distance between the 2600-8 and aworkstation or network device (including other hubs) via unshieldedtwisted pair wiring is 100 meters. Hubs may be networked together byusing the AUI to BNC connectors, thus saving valuable RJ-45 ports foruser applications. The 2600-8 also has Polarity Sensing with automaticcorrection and Network Integrity Monitoring to ensure a proper linkbetween the hub and the station. These units have diagnostic LEDindicators (power, activity, link) which display Hub status. Internal50-Ohm termination of the 10Base2 BNC port is accomplished via anexternally accessible jumper.TCL 2600-8 10Base-T Hubs feature rugged, yet lightweight, metalenclosures. Their compact size makes them ideal for either desktop orwall-mounted applications (using the optional mounting bracket P/N A6-WB). Our rackmount kit (P/N 2600-RMK) accommodates two units mountedside-by-side in a 19-inch rack.
